Line and Space was founded in 1978 by architect Les Wallach with the express purpose of designing and building environmentally sensitive structures that gel beautifully with and respond meaningfully to their surroundings,

The eleven person team has built many civic and educational buildings as well as villas in its native Arizona and has recently branched out to include projects in Hawaii and in China.
Although their idiom is basically a modernist one, various facets of it are entirely notable, specifically a very specific geometrically oriented approach to form that gives their buildings a superb sculptural quality, a willingness to draw extensively on cultural themes (which will be an interesting one for Cyprus) and a stipulation that whatever emerges by way of a shape for the building derives from a deep analysis and reflection of the site.
